Founded in 2018, Matador Instrument & Electrical delivers turnkey electrical, instrumentation, automation, SCADA, and powerline services for the industrial sector.
The company is led by founder Nolan Venable, who began his electrical career in 1991 and previously built and led Patriot Automation and Controls.
Over the years, Matador has grown into a premier provider across West Texas. We serve customers from our locations in San Angelo, Monahans, and Andrews, and we have expanded our service area into southeast New Mexico.
In 2026, we began a new chapter of growth through the acquisition of Haarmeyer Electric’s Lovington, New Mexico operations. Backed by Haarmeyer’s 40+ year reputation and our shared values of teamwork, integrity, quality, and safety, we remain committed to steady growth, safe execution, and reliable, responsive support across Texas and southeast New Mexico.
